Safety

The Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh is licensed to operate by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (NYSOCFS).  The Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh conducts background checks and child-abuse screenings on all potential employees and volunteers. Visitors are required to sign in and out of all programs and there are security guards and security cameras at each program location.

Our Staff

Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh employs certified teachers, college students, mentors, professional artists and accomplished individuals to work with your child. All program staff receive a minimum of 20 hours of youth development training each year.

Registration and Enrollment

Club members must be enrolled by a parent/guardian. There is no registration fee. Enrollment forms must be completed and on file to officially register your child in the program.

Parent Involvement

The Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh is a partner in caring for your child after school and we believe that parents play an important role in their child's education. We encourage parents to communicate with program staff about their child's academic progress and provide ongoing feedback about the program. Parents can get involved by volunteering, attending special events, joining the Parent Advisory Council, or attending parent workshops.  Parent involvement, including a parent orientation, is  required  in order for your child to remain in the program.
