Triple Play

Triple Play Program

Triple Play, BGCA's comprehensive health and wellness initiative, strives to improve the overall health of members, ages 6-12, by increasing their daily physical activity, teaching them good nutrition and helping them develop healthy relationships. Since the Triple Play initiative was introduced in 2005, more than one million Club members have participated in fun fitness activities. The Triple Play initiative, sponsored by The Coca-Cola Company and the Anthem Foundation, nutures the minds, bodies and souls of Club members.

What to Expect: Through The Triple Play, Club members will be able to participate in each Mind, Body and Soul program component separately, or participate in all three for the ideal benefits.

The Mind program is the nutrition component and covers healthy habits, the power of choice, calories, vitamins and minerals, the food pyramid and appropriate portion size. Members learn to identify, prepare and eat healthy foods.

The Body provides sports and fitness activities with daily fitness challenges, from jumping rope to bowling and creating games of their own. Members learn the benefits of physical fitness while participating in fun and engaging activities.

The Soul component is a social recreation program focusing on the games room, offering ping pong, pool, video games, chess, air hockey and fun table games. Members learn positive socialization skills while making friends and having a good time.
