Dance Department
The NPAA dance program offers pre-professional instruction to children, youth and adults. Classes are structured to be fun and engaging for the recreational dancer and more complex, intricate and intensive for the dancer with college or professional aspirations. Course offerings include ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, modern, African, and hip-hop.

Creative Movement
Emphasizing the development of gross motor skills, this course provides an introduction to ballet, jazz and tap movements and rhythm skills.

Ballet/Tap/Jazz/African/Hip Hop
Students receive an introduction to classical ballet and tap, jazz or African in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Ages 7-9Ages 7-9
Ballet/Tap/Jazz/African/Hip Hop
Students receive a strong foundation in dance and begin to explore more advanced movements. Instruction includes an emphasis on technique, strength and conditioning. Pre-professional dance instruction begins at this age.

Classes are designed to develop the student's technical skills, creativity and performance ability. Instruction intensifies and incorporates movements and combinations of increased complexity.

Senior/Junior/Mini/Spark Dance Ensembles
Ensemble members ages 5-18 receive intensive dance instruction in a professional environment designed to develop their skills and prepare them for live performances, college entrance auditions and a professional career in dance.

Hip Hop Teams
Senior/Junior/Mini Hip Hop Teams
Combines hard core hip hop moves with street jazz, break dancing, popping and locking. Team members compete in 2-3 competitions per year and perform at events and venues throughout the region.
