THE CHALLENGE: America's kids are in crisis.

THE SOLUTION: Boys & Girls Clubs

THE STRATEGY: The Formula for Impact
For each child, success depends on three things: academic success; good character and citizenship; and healthy lifestyles. For the Boys & Girls Club, these three "priority outcome areas" are the basis of the Formula For Impact.
Young people who drop out of high school are significantly less likely to secure a good job, earn an adequate salary and have a promising future. As such, high school graduation is an important goal for all Club members.
Boys & Girls Clubs:
- Provide a Club experience which appeals to youth.
- Support members' school success through such efforts as homework help and school readiness.
- Engage members in fun, hands-on activities to practice and learn reading, writing, speaking, math and scientific inquiry.
- Provide extra help for members who have difficulty mastering academic content and skills.
Good Character and Citizenship
Good citizenship is integral to a young person's ability to become a productive, caring and responsible citizen.
