Creating a "Promise Neighborhood" in Newburgh and Poughkeepsie

Our Promise

We are committed to building a "Promise Neighborhood" to transform and revitalize Newburgh and Poughkeepsie, starting with its youngest residents. A child's support structure begins at home. We will continue to foster the development of our kids' domestic environments, while remaining a critical component in their growth network.

To reach this goal, the Boys & Girls Club of Newburgh is partnering with the Poughkeepsie Children's Cabinet, and a host of other organizations to establish a comprehensive cradle-to-career pipeline of programs and supports for children, youth and families in the City of Poughkeepsie.

Through this historic partnership, we will create a pipeline of services to provide City of Poughkeepsie youth and families access to early childhood development programs, parent education programs, comprehensive health care services, quality education during the school day and after school hours, mentoring, and arts and culture and athletic enrichment programs.

• Building a brand new state of the art facility for the Newburgh Performing Arts Academy.
• Establishing units of the Boys & Girls Club in other cities and towns throughout the Hudson Valley region.
